This particular plastic kennel liner works well for us. We have a yellow lab mix and she can be very excitable, but it's been pretty resilient so far. For some reason, when we first got it, she thought that it tasted good and started to lick and (attepmpted to) chew the bottom of it. After a good washing with some soap and water, she didn't do it any more, so you should definately wash yours before use.
