PPE pet supplies is a complete joke. DO NOT buy this item from them. They gave me a delivery estimate which was 11 days later from the order date. If that wasn't enough, they waited until the 11th day to SHIP the item. Now it has been 5 days and the "track package" link shows that the item has been stuck in Texas. Not sure if I'll ever get it.

Hey PPE Pet supplies, If you can not satisfy the customer, then why are you running a business? What are you in it for? When I bought the item, it did NOT say that it was out of stock, even though it was. If It had said that, I obviously would have chosen another item which I would have sitting in front of me right now. It amazes me that a company can overshoot their delivery estimate by 15 days and just go on about their business like nothing has happened. Meanwhile, it is the customer who suffers. Here is your list of to do things:

1. Develop a software which updates inventory status MUCH quicker, so that customers are not mislead.
2. If a customer receives their item later than estimated delivery, give them a 20% credit,
3. If you can not honor the delivery estimate then DO NOT PROVIDE ONE.
4. If the above can not be done, then close the business.

This is a fabulous product - SO well made, sturdy, cute, and well designed. The packs themselves are attached with velcro so you can pull them off the harness for rest periods - don't have to take the entire thing off each time.

I have read so many great things about backpacks for hyper dogs. I have a Rat Terrier who has more energy than our daily walks could satisfy. A 15 minute walk with a backpack like this one is said to equal a 45 minute walk without the pack - so I tried it. First thing I noticed was my dog's immediate calmness. He walked so well beside me - because now he had a job to do, a purpose. He wasn't all over the place thinking for himself, he was carrying my water for me! He walks so calmly, and a 20 or 30 minute walk is enough to make him calm and submissive the rest of the day.

I use a really small water bottle on each side (8 oz each) and the pack weighs 10 oz to start with. We stop from time to time and I get a drink for both of us, so he's aware he's carrying our water, and as we go along the pack gets lighter as we use the water.

Many people have stopped us to ask about the backpacks and I hope my recommendations have brought them here to this store. I wish I'd heard of these years ago!

I bought this cayman size 2 for my 5 pound shih tzu puppy thinking that I would have a crate he would grow into if he matured to about 15 pounds. He appears to fill the inside already and this crate said rated up to 30 pounds. Yes, he can stand and turn around in it now with the sheepskin pad but add a stuffed toy and it is too crowded. It looks good and appears to be sturdy but was not that easy to put together only because I had a difficult time getting the door to fit. I had to assemble and disassemble it several times and what should have taken roughly ten minutes became a 40 minute ordeal with the door. I know dogs and cats need only a small footprint in a crate for travelling and sleeping but I was thinking that this would be ideal for crating Logan up to several hours when I am gone from the house because it was rated for a dog up to 33 pounds. I could not leave him cooped up in this kennel except maybe for airline travel for which it would be adequate for his size at the moment. I put my 15 pound shih tzu in it and he was not able to lay down or stand up fully and forget about turning around. He is longer bodied and longer legged than the average shih tzu but he is also half the rated weight and he does not fit it. This stroller's construction is probably not as strong as the $200 brand but it is good enough for my two cats, who weight 8 and 15 pounds (the instruction says 10 lbs maximum for the upper deck and 20 lbs for the lower). I take my cats to a nearby park using this stroller. My big cat loves the ride. Once she arrives the park, she just goes out and walks around. My little cat gets scared easily. When she sees a stranger in the park, she hides in the stroller. So it is good that the stroller can provide a safe place for her.

There are two cup holders and a small compartment in the middle (with lid) for storing their stuff. I put their leashes in there but usually not their water or food as they are too nervous/excited/busy to think about eating or drinking. They usually gets tired and satisfied after the ride.

It is a bit challenging if the street is bumpy because I have to stop and carefully lift the stroller up in order to pass. Unlike with a good baby stroller, I could just push through an uneven surface.

It is so much easier and less traumatic for everyone to be able to open the carrier and to easily and gently take out the animal. Since it is a smaller size, it wouldn't be that good to keep an animal in for long periods of time, but for visits to the vet, or any other short trips, it is fine. I kept trying it in different positions, and finally found one that seemed to fit the best, although the piece does not fit completely and leaves a tiny gap. It is nice to have that clear, sliding piece to be able to view the animal or place some food inside without opening the carrier and risking an escape, but that part should have been designed better. The carrier is more lightweight than the side opening carrier that I also have. That makes for a lighter load on the person carrying it. But that lighter construction makes me wonder if it will be as durable as some of the heavier carriers.

The stroller part has no rigidity/support, so when you place the kennel part on top, you really need that folding insert..that insert must of weighed 5 pounds, & because that insert folded in half, there was a big fold line. I returned it. Now if you planned on using it daily, it is okay, BUT still that large fold crease line on that insert, is not good. Pet Flys Dog Carrier - City Girl (White/Zebra) Get it now!

I own this carrier in the lime green/ dark chocolate brown combination. I have several dog carriers, and this is my new favorite. It is well made and really cute. The lime green one is a muted lime green suede with dark brown leather trim. (I am not sure if the white one is suede also.) People think I am carrying a purse until they give it a second look and realize that I have a dog with me. He has the option of sticking his head out, or I can keep the side zipped shut to be even more discreet.

I also have a "regular" Pet Flys carrier for travel in the small size. If you have one of those, this one is about as roomy as the small sized carrier, maybe an inch or so narrower. I just love the entire Pet Flys line. Their carriers are roomy and very well made. You get what you pay for, that's for sure:) Don't go cheap. I learned this the hard way.

I also get asked all the time how I got my dog used to the "purse." I practiced by carrying him in it around my house. Once your dog gets used to the idea of the carrier, they will like it and even jump inside.
