I have a 8.8# Boston that did not fit into the Traveler. I returned the Traveler and order the Traveler Plus. There is plenty of room for her to sit up or to lie down. I think this size should be able to accomodate a 15# dog. I'm still not convinced it would fit a 20#. The carrier seems to be sturdy-well made. Not much room in the outside pockets for storage. I wish there was more padding on the straps and back for using as a backpack.Get more detail about IGO 2 Plus Traveller, Copper.
