This pet ramp is very sturdy, and not too heavy to carry and manipulate. Just a warning however: the side doors on my Honda CRV do not open wide enough to enable us to use this ramp at those doors. Fortunately, we are able to fold down one of the seats and use the ramp at the back of the car. Our dog is blind, which makes a ramp especially frightening for him. I wish the sides came up at least a little more to help him tell how wide the ramp is. Also, he has a medical condition that has weakened his back legs (the reason we need the ramp in the first place) and his back feet tend to slide despite the supposedly grippable surface. Periodic raised ledges would be useful to allow him a little more purchase.
